Manicure Monday: Nautical Nails

Since  Halloween is this week I decided to paint my nails to match my costume :)

I decided to wear my Sailor Costume again this year and painted my nails and toenails Nautical themed

For my base color I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Cobalt Blue.
I've raved about this polish before and it is still a definite favorite.

The color is a beautiful Blue with a shimmery undertone and really does dry instantly. The color is so rich that you really only need one coat :)

Once the Cobalt Blue dried (which didn't take long) I used a white nail art pen to draw the stripes. I did this on my ring finer nails and all my toenails!

To finish it off I used a very thin paint brush and a Revlon polish in Golden Charm to paint a little heart on my ring finger nails <3

And for my toes... I painted on an anchor :)

So cute and appropriate

I finished everything off with my favorite No Chip Revlon Top Coat

Can't wait for Wednesday to truly show off my nautical nails

Manicure Monday: Halloween French Manicure

Hey There Beauty Lovers!!!

I'm so excited to post my first Halloween Manicure :)

Keep reading to find out how I got this Halloween French Manicure

The classic Halloween colors are of course Orange and Black, So I thought why not use these classic colors in a classic manicure to make a Halloween French Manicure :)

I started out with the base color Courtney Orange #30 by Sinful Colors. This color went on very smoothly and required 3 coats to get a nice opaque color because the color is slightly translucent to begin with. This color has a very nice shimmer to it and is not too over powering.

For the tips I chose a glossy black. Black on Black #103 by Sinful Colors.

These colors look absolutely stunning together and I love the way this manicure turned out :). I used a thin brush to paint the tips on. I didn't use tape or any guides or anything I just did it by eye. To finish off I put 2 coats of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat for an extra glossy finish.

*Quick Tip*: Put a fresh top coat on every 2-3 days to make your manicure last longer ;)

I hope you guys enjoy these festive pictures... I know I'm enjoying my festive potpourri <3

The Final Look

Manicure Mondays!! Half-Moon Fall Manicure :)

So I know this is going up just past midnight so technically it is Manicure Tuesday.... but I did actually start this on Manicure Monday. I am trying my best to keep updated with everything but I am a full time college student and I had tons of homework and exams lately....

Sincere apologies, so without further ado.... Manicure Time <3

The half-moon manicure is a huge trend now and I've been dying to try it out ever since Blair Fowler posted about it on her blog. I really wanted to try a really cool fall color combination to the two colors that I chose were both by Sinful Colors and they are, Zincing of You  and Moss Have

Both of these colors are absolutely stunning. Zincing of You  is a gorgeous metallic bronze/brown/gold color and Moss Have is a gorgeous moss green color that is perfect for the fall. Both colors went on very smooth and I only needed two coats of Zincing of You  and one coat of Moss Have.

So I started out by painting all my nails with the color Moss Have except for my ring finger, which I painted with Zincing of You.

I let this coat dry for a good amount of time. You want to make sure that they are completely dry before the next step

When your first coat is completely dry you can take a circular sticker (a lot of people use page protectors) to create the half-moon shape. I started this on my ring finger. After the sticker was on I painted over the bronze color with the green and removed the sticker while it was still wet.

I then proceeded to do this with all my other nails making sure to paint them with  the bronze over the green.

I put a coat of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat and was done

Here is the final look :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this :)
